Are you looking for an internship where you can apply your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and make a real impact?
At Systematic, we develop world-class Defence software solutions that help military personnel make critical decisions with confidence. As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and ready for real-world use.
Your role as a Software Test Engineer Intern
In this role, you’ll be part of one of our agile development teams within the Defence business unit, where you’ll gain insight into the entire quality assurance process, from understanding requirements and analysing risks to designing, executing, and automating tests.
You’ll work with tools and technologies such as JIRA, Docker, Kubernetes, Postman, GIT, TeamCity, HTML, CSS, and SQL. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with all of them yet; what matters most is your curiosity, motivation, and willingness to learn.
Your daily work may include:
- Participating in daily Scrum meetings
- Testing and qualifying new product features
- Collaborating closely with Test Engineers, Developers, Architects, and Project Managers
- Creating and executing test cases based on requirements and user stories
- Reporting and clarifying defects
- Contributing to test automation and overall test strategy
You’ll gain hands-on experience in how Systematic ensures the quality and reliability of mission-critical software used by defence forces worldwide.
Life as an intern at Systematic
At Systematic, interns are treated as full team members from day one. You’ll have a dedicated mentor to support your learning and growth. You’ll work closely with your team, explore new ideas, take responsibility, and gain confidence as a software professional.
You’ll also join our intern community, where you can connect with peers, share knowledge, and enjoy social activities.
Who we’re looking for
You are most likely studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and are a final-year student. However, what truly counts is your enthusiasm for testing, structured mindset, and eagerness to learn.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Enjoy analytical challenges and problem-solving
- Are responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Can work both independently and in a team
- Communicate fluently in English
