Responsibilities:

  • PLC technicians maintain backups, documentation, and software revisions as part of maintaining these computer-based control systems.
  • Scheduled maintenance and the commissioning of systems are also important aspects of the work.
  • PLC technicians consult technical documentation, drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Meeting and knowing the client’s requirements for electrical and mechanical needs.
  • Reading and interpreting the logical flow diagram.
  • Using automation software to write PLC programs.
  • Preparing documents to instruct the users how to use the device and other safety
  • instructions.
  • Testing the program using automation equipment for its reliability.
  • Troubleshooting any faults in the system.
  • Supervising the installation of PLC programs.
  • Providing guidance and support to the Technicians.
  • Maintaining the PLC programs.
  • Working in coordination with Engineering and Production team.
