Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer engineering, electronics, embedded systems, telecommunications, or a closely related field; internships or co-op experiences are a plus.
  • Experience: 0–2 years in quality of embedded systems; automotive or multimedia project experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Languages: English and French required

Technical Knowledge (foundational):

  • Basic understanding of embedded multimedia architectures (Android Automotive, embedded Linux, QNX, etc.) and HMI interfaces.
  • Introductory knowledge of automotive networks and interfaces (CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet, MOST, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
  • Fundamentals of software and systems validation (functional, performance, usability; basic functional safety concepts).
  • Familiarity with test management and defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and basic quality methods (FMEA, APQP/PPAP concepts).
  • Understanding of system engineering and software/hardware integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining quality criteria for multimedia systems under supervision.
  • Help plan, design, and execute validation tests in vehicle and bench environments; contribute to test plans, test cases, and scripts
  • Execute test cases, collect results, and help maintain traceability from requirements to tests and deliverables
  • Help analyze defects/non-conformities, participate in root-cause investigations, and support corrective and preventive actions with the team
  • Monitor basic quality metrics and participate in project quality reviews with guidance.
    Collaborate with hardware, software, and UX teams, suppliers, and homologation to support integration and in-vehicle compliance
  • Assist with validation testing of software updates (OTA) and evaluate robustness of interfaces (CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet, MOST, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
  • Create and maintain quality documentation under guidance (test reports, risk summaries, non-conformity records)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and, where possible, contribute to test automation efforts
  • Attend technical meetings and design/validation reviews as needed.
