Job Description

Position Overview:

Function Developer is responsible for the development and implementation of specific functions within a vehicle. This includes the design, development, testing and integration of these functions into the overall vehicle system. The Function Developer will work closely with other teams within the organization, such as hardware and software development, to ensure the successful implementation of these functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and test specific functions within a vehicle, such as powertrain or infotainment systems;
• Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure seamless integration of these functions into the overall vehicle system;
• Ensure that all functions meet industry standards and regulations;
• Monitor and troubleshoot function performance issues;
• Stay current with advancements in technology and incorporate them into the development process;
• Coordination and assessment of risks (risk management);
• Coordination and evaluation of system and customer requirements;
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field;
• Experience in the automotive industry, specifically in the development of vehicle functions;
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components;
• (Profound) knowledge of automotive engineering processes and standards (ISO26262, ASPICE, …);
• Good programming knowledge of C/C++ and Python;
• Experience with development tools such as MATLAB and Simulink;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• English & German are a must.
