Job Description

The sub-function responsible (TFV) is the contact person and representative of the respective sub-function (TF).

The TFV is thus responsible for a software (SW) sub-function. The SW sub-function can be divided among the various ECUs. The field of activity thus includes support in coordinating the architecture and deriving the corresponding requirements of an SW function for the various ECUs and acting as a liaison/requester between the brand and the SW supplier with regard to an SW functionality.

The sub-function developer takes over development tasks within the respective project. The partial function developer does not carry out project management but works on various operational development tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function development for series production in the automotive environment
  • Application for series production in the automotive environment
  • Functionality of combustion engines and signal processing in general
  • Interpretation of legal requirements
  • Cross-interlocking architectures of individual powertrain control units -suppliers
  • Rapid prototyping (e.g. eHooks) for functional tests and concept validation
  • Knowledge regarding FuSi classification of functions, applications and overall systems
  • Experience with the procedure/handling of approval documents
  • Prototype driving license (VW Group)
  • Sensitization for working on high-voltage vehicles
  • OBD knowledge

Partial function responsibility:

  • VKM basic functions (VKM = internal combustion engine);
  • EA basic functions – Emission and certification functions;
  • Fault memory management;
  • Transmission functions;
  • Basic function driving state;
  • VKM start-stop;
  • Speed and torque path.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field;
  • Experience in the automotive industry, specifically in the development of vehicle functions;
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components;
  • (Profound) knowledge of automotive engineering processes and standards (ISO26262, ASPICE, …);
  • Good programming knowledge of C/C++ and Python;
  • Experience with development tools such as MATLAB and Simulink;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • English & German are a must.
