How you will contribute
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, helping users through calls, emails, or ticketing systems. Escalate complex problems as needed;
- Help monitor and maintain network devices like routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Assist in resolving network issues to reduce downtime;
- Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining computers, printers, servers, and other IT equipment, including replacing parts if needed;
- Install and update software, ensuring compatibility and proper licensing;
- Help with network tasks such as troubleshooting connectivity issues and maintaining hardware;
- Support user accounts and groups in Active Directory by managing basic settings and permissions.
What will help you be successful
- Basic knowledge of IT support concepts, focusing on networking, Windows systems, and Linux basics;
- Familiarity with key network concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls. Some exposure to network monitoring and troubleshooting is a plus;
- Understanding of Windows environments, including basics like Active Directory and Group Policies, with an interest in learning PowerShell scripting;
- Willingness to learn Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS), including tasks such as user management, updates, and system setup;
- Interest or exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V, with basic understanding of virtual machines and their use;
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information simply and clearly;
- Positive and customer-focused attitude, able to interact professionally with users and provide effective support.
