For our MOM team, we are currently looking for a Software Developer. MOM stands for Manufacturing Operations Management (formerly called MES). They mainly deal with software development, links with databases and ERP systems, integration of factory digitization, peripherals, interfacing between different systems, reporting and label printing.

Projects from A-Z, this is how we do it!

At Contec we realize projects from A to Z. Depending on the project you will either work independently or in teamwork to realize the client’s software requirements. The assignments are often very different and versatile, so it is important that you are very interested in software development.

A selection of what you will do:

• You are a software engineer within a team that is occupied with both front-end and back-end development.
• You develop in a standardized way, extensions for in-house developed Contec applications that are installed at the customer or custom applications for customers.
• You write concise, clear documentation (detailed design) before programming the software.
• With best practices and coaching you are able to guide colleagues and delegate to perform tasks during software development. We strongly believe in sharing knowledge to get our team to a higher level.
• You integrate and set up production-related software systems for the customer.
• You configure and prepare the self-developed MOM platform for the customer.
• You draw up integration test plans, implement them or delegate this to a colleague.
• You support the customer with the installed software modules

Passion for automation? We’re looking for you!

• You have a higher degree in Informatics (Electronics-ICT, Applied Informatics, …) or are equivalent through experience.
• You have at least 4-5 years of experience in developing back-end and front-end applications and you like project-based work. You enjoy the variety and challenges.
• You are an IT addict with a passion for Microsoft SQL server
• Taking initiative and working autonomously does not deter you. You also take into account the deadlines by independently structuring your work.
• You are a problem-solver and you think proactively about projects.

• You are assertive, communicative and customer oriented.
• Working in a team? Yes please! Friends describe you as a real team player.
• You are familiar with AS-IS, TO-BE, and re-engineering
• Experience with agile and scrum is a plus.
• Knowledge of these technologies is required:
• Microsoft SQL server and SQL dialect (T-SQL)
• NET MVC
• HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Bootstrap, jQuery
• Entity Framework

• Git
• Knowledge of these technologies is a plus
